There are great!!
Get the training, and practice how to apply TQ's, wound packing and applying dressings. But buy this In Extremis Guide!! I put one in my Adventure bag, one in my Travel Faq, and one in my Bear Faq. They are laminated, so will resist water, blood and other wet stuff. They are compact, fits right in a pocket easily. And they are written in bullet points. Do this first. Then do this next.
They are great as a quick reference for a civilian first responder who doesn't do these things all day, every day. But, when, not if, something bad happens to good people, the In Extremes Guide is there to help walk you through saving a life step by step.
Buy one. Buy three. Read them. Put them where you can find them easily to have to refer to when needed. You Will be very glad you did.
